Affiliate marketing as a beginner is hard work there is a lot of trial and error before you become good at it and know how to earn a living from it.

I’d say yes because once you put in the work it can become a great way to earn a living and be your own boss too.

I enjoy working from home as well as having the freedom to work on the projects I want to and as often or as little as I want.

The barrier of entry to become an affiliate is low.

There really isn’t any formal training or classes although there are plenty of courses, blogs, and videos that can help you get started.

Some of the information is excellent while other information is outdated.

Overall it will come down to you learning each step of the way.

As you learn something new you should immediately use what you learn.

There are some questions you can ask yourself to help you determine if affiliate marketing could be a good fit for you.

Below Are Some Good Questions To Ask Yourself:

Are You Self Motivated?
Do You Enjoy Working Alone?
Can You Work On Something Without Immediate Reward?
Would You Invest Your Time And Money To Learn Affiliate Marketing?
How Much Time Could You Dedicate To This?
What Is The Reason You Want To Do This?
How Much Money Do You Want To Earn First Year, 5 Years, and Beyond?

These are good questions to ask yourself because it helps you decide upfront if it’s a good career for you.

I come from a marketing and sales background and affiliate marketing was a natural fit for me.

And even though it took a lot of time to actually earn a decent income from it I decided early on I was going to make it work no matter what.

Yes, if you can honestly answer the questions above you may have found a career that could change your life.

It all starts with having the right mindset and proper expectations so you don’t give up.

What Do I Need To Become An Affiliate Marketer?

You can, of course, start affiliate marketing for free and you don’t even need a website or blog.

Although if you want to create a sustainable business for the long term there are some things you will want to have in order to be successful.

Below Are Recommended Affiliate Marketing Tools:

You don’t have to get everything at one time although it’s good to at least have a blog and video marketing tool when you are first starting.

Once you have earned affiliate sales you can invest in other tools that can help you quickly grow your audience.

There are many ways to earn money as an affiliate such as blogging, starting a Youtube Channel, and Pay Per Click (PPC).

All of them are effective and over time I recommend using all methods.

First start with one and move on to the next when you have mastered it.

Another way to decide is to calculate what affiliates earn.

There are three basic levels of affiliates that I will briefly go over below:

Level 1: Newbie –

As a beginner, you are learning the basics and finding out what works and what is wasting your time and money.

At this level affiliates are earning $100 or less per month.

The amount of time you stay at this level depends on how quickly you learn to successfully promote offers and match them with your niche.

Level 2: Intermediate –

Now you are in between beginner and advanced.

You’ll find that you have some BIG WINS that get you hooked on affiliate marketing as well as some big losses.

A Level 2 Affiliates earn between $1,000 to $9,000 per month.

At this level you are close to or able to make a full time living as an affiliate.

Level 3: Super Affiliate –

This is the dream of all affiliate marketers!

There are not many that can call themselves a super affiliate, but the ones that can are living the dream.

At level 3 you are earning between $10,000 to $100,000 every month and even more.

A lot of the super affiliates will keep all of the real money making secrets for themselves.

And I can’t say I blame them.

However, you can learn a lot from them and it would be worth it if you can find one to mentor you on your journey to get where they are faster than you can learn it on your own.
